Ye Reveals ‘Vultures 2’ Release Could Be Imminent

After months of anticipation and multiple delays, fans of Ye and Ty Dolla $ign are eagerly awaiting the potential release of their collaborative album, "Vultures 2."

Yesterday, Ye took fans by surprise when the Yeezy website briefly announced the album's imminent release today, August 2nd. However, the message has since been removed, and the album has not been released as of the time of writing.

The Yeezy website currently displays only the message “all orders fulfilled,” leaving fans confused. Neither Ye nor Ty Dolla $ign has confirmed the release date on social media. Notably, West deactivated his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts in April, while Ty Dolla $ign has remained silent about the album's release.

Ty Dolla $ign announced in July that he and West will host listening parties for "Vultures 2" in Taiwan and South Korea later this month.

In an interview with Billboard in June, Ty Dolla $ign confirmed that the songs for the album are complete and that they are focusing on the rollout process.

"We got all the songs. Basically, it’s just like, ‘How can we get it there? How can we go bigger than the first album?’”

The album has faced at least two delays over the past five months. "Vultures 1" was released in February, with "Vultures 2" and a third installment initially planned for March and April, respectively. However, neither of the subsequent albums were released on the planned dates. In April, West announced on "The Download" podcast that "Vultures 2" would release on May 3, but that date also passed without a release.

The rocky rollout for "Vultures 2" mirrors the challenges faced by "Vultures 1." The first album missed several planned release dates before finally arriving on February 10. Despite this, "Vultures 1" achieved significant success, becoming the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and featuring a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, "Carnival".

Some fans of Taylor Swift speculate that Ye may have been aiming for August 2nd due to the rumored release of Taylor Swift's re-recorded album "Reputation (Taylor’s Version)" on the same day. Fans believe "Reputation" was inspired by Swift's feud with West and the subsequent public backlash.

West will perform in Korea on August 23rd, reportedly in the Goyang Sports Complex.
