Peugeot is diving into nostalgia with a bold new tribute to the French rap group 113, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 2000 Victoire De La Musique win. The Peugeot Design Lab, known for crafting everything from pianos to aircraft interiors, has turned its creative energy back to cars, unveiling a striking reinterpretation of the Peugeot 504 Break—the very model the band famously drove onto the awards stage.

The first reveal was a digitally rendered, smoothed-out version of the classic estate, featuring even more luggage piled on its roof and a playful mix of body panel colors. But the real showstopper came next: a wildly transformed 504 Break drenched in vibrant pink, adorned with a Burberry-style check pattern, and fitted with an oversized rear wing, massive racing tires, and a roll cage emblazoned with the 113 logo. The interior boasts Peugeot’s futuristic ‘Hypersquare’ steering wheel, adding a modern touch to the retro tribute.

Peugeot Design Lab teased the car as “a crazy boosted one, ready for the Pikes Peak Hillclimb race or if you wanna go from Paris to the Bled like real quick.” This reference nods both to Peugeot’s legendary Pikes Peak wins and 113’s hit song Tonton Du Bled, a track paying homage to the Algerian-French experience. It’s a clever mix of automotive history and hip-hop culture, bridging generations of French innovation.

Whether this wild concept hints at more Peugeot tributes to music history or signals a potential revival of classic designs, one thing is clear—the Peugeot Design Lab is having fun, and fans should keep an eye on their Instagram for what’s next.
