Nothing announced Phone (2a) Plus.

Let me clarify: UK-based tech company, "Nothing" has announced a new phone, and it is called "Phone (2a) Plus".

The startup continues to expand its presence in the "niche smartphone" market, once dominated by the likes of OnePlus and Oppo. This new model builds upon the company's minimalistic yet ultra-modern design ethos, presenting an upgraded version of its predecessor.

The Phone (2a) Plus focuses on refreshed performance and camera capabilities, but mainly continuing the trend of having a quirky design. It is equipped with the powerful MediaTek 7350 Pro 5G chip. The device also has a pair of 50 MP cameras, now common among "flagship killers".

Color options include “Metallic Grey” and “Black,” both featuring a distinctive grooved design and dual central cameras which the company says are inspired by human eyes.

One of the standout features is the 50W Fast Charging capability, which allows the Phone (2a) Plus to be fully powered in an impressive 20 minutes.

Gamers will be happy with its gaming performance, with the Phone (2a) Plus boasting a 10% faster processing system compared to the original Phone (2a). The ARM Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, running at 1.3 GHz, provides a dynamic gaming experience.

As we all know, you wouldn't dare release a smartphone in 2024 without including "AI" in one way or another. How about a News Reporter Widget powered by ChatGPT? The widget curates daily reports across various genres such as business, entertainment, health, and technology. You're welcome!

The Phone (2a) Plus will be available for purchase at Nothing’s London location starting August 3 at 11 a.m. BST. It will also be released through the US Beta Program on August 7 at 9:00 a.m. ET, priced at £399 GBP (approximately $512 USD).
