Game Informer, the longest-running video game magazine in the US, will shut down after 33 years of operation. Founded in 1991 by the Minnesota game store FuncoLand, the magazine was acquired by GameStop in 2000.

In addition to its print editions, Game Informer began publishing online in the early 2010s, producing 10 print issues per year.

On Friday, Game Informer staff were called into a meeting where GameStop’s VP of HR announced that the publication would be closing immediately, according to Kotaku. All employees were informed of their layoffs and were told they would begin receiving the terms of their severance packages. The upcoming 367th edition of the magazine will feature a cover dedicated to Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It will be their final issue.
